Great list here, i'm going with Moving Gelatine Plates debut but man Ash Ra Tempel, Comus, Polyphony and Matching Mole could easily have been my pick.

What a year! First Utterance by Comus wins though.

Wow, a lot of choices. Sheez. Earth & Fire and Polyphony both recorded awesome albums. Not sure which to vote for.

Several excellent lp's up there but I have always had a soft spot for that Spring thing.
A bit surprised at all the love for Comus.....it was one of the first cd;s I picked up when I started to get into more obscure prog about 20 years ago. I always found it a challenge to get into and downright annoying at times.

Lot's of great options, in which only my mood can make a decision. Since my current state of mind is pretty light, airy and ready for some fun involving friends & booze, I'll go with Curved Air. My favorite of theirs with lots of catchy stuff.

Nektar is probably one-eyed among the blind here.
Although this isn't their best album at all.
