Hello Progarchives !!!

I am a fan of this site for many years, but i just read the biographies and reviews. I also write reviews on progboard.com, but only in a Slovak language. Writing in English is quite difficult for me, but maybe one time Smile. 

I recognize here many great bands in all progressive subgenres. My favorite band of all time is Rush, but i like many classic prog-rock bands like Pink Floyd, Yes, Kansas, Genesis, King Crimson. The newer bands are also good like Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Anglagard or Opeth.

Slovakia has some very good progressive groups. Fermata, Collegium Musicum or Dezo Ursiny are the best in our little state. 

On a progarchives I also recognize Avant-Prog. It was a strange music for the first time, but after that i listen much more music from that subgenre. I like Miriodor, Thinking Plague, Finnegans Wake, French TV, Panzerpappa, Rational Diet and others.

You do an excellent job here and it is great that progarchives is here Clap.

Yes they are !!!

We have not many progressive bands because our state is a little bit conservative. Czechoslovakia had communistic goverment for 40 years!!! So the music was prevent by any expanding. In 1993 we split on Czech and Slovakia. But in both countries are many big fans of progressive rock, because we also love good music.

The newer interesting prog-metal band from Slovakia is Persona Grata. Check out!
