No prog song that I've heard so far is that bad, but "Hot Mango Flush" by Jethro Tull comes pretty close, if indeed it even counts as a song! What had they been smoking!? Sounds like a remix of a Lou Bega hit, for crying out loud!

Speaking of Tull...I'd be happy to never hear Budapest again.

Are you kidding me???  Did Ian Anderson have Greg Lake write some lyrics??? Confused

Talking of Greg Lake I could probably live without ever hearing Lay Down Your Guns again.

My dad is a massive fans of Brřdrene OlsenEmbarrassedDead Goes without saying that we don't exactly share similar tastes in music, maybe outside of Dire Straits that is.
This song though rivals Wham's Last Christmas in that it makes me want to puke my insides out inside of the first 10 seconds of it. The combination of a seriously plasticy tune together with massive overplay is probably the reason behind my reaction to both. I feel the same way about the Doopidoop song by Me & MyAngryDead

I've moved this thread to General Music Discussions. The prog artists mentioned in here are far and between.

Retired coz of severe embarrassment which brought on savage bouts of anxiety.....
And now, I wish I could erase every Culture Club piece of sh*t song that ever existed. That whack-job singer did NOTHING for anything known to mankind......

I replied in this thread a couple of months ago, and was in a much more peaceful and loving mood.  but now that I have some bile to spill, here goes:

D'yer Mak'er by Led Zeppelin.  Probably the only song of theirs I don't like. God, it's horrible.

Don't Look Back by Boston.  Just a big throbbing 6 minute mound of BS.  It doesn't even have a hook.

In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson.   Not a bad song at all, but I've just had enough of it.  It's lost a lot of its grandeur for me.  The chorus repeats too many times in close succession, it's kind of numbing.  the instrumental interludes feel gimmicky.  I realize it pretty much kicked off the prog genre we love, and I respect that, but I just don't need to hear it again in the distant future

Hey Jude - Beatles.  Wow, this used to be one of my favorite Beatles songs.  Oddly, it was after seeing it performed live by Paul McCartney that I decided I'd had enough.  Even such a beautiful song as that can become trite if it's rammed into your ears enough times.

Then again, I absolutely love the song.

D'yer Maker is good too.
