Sombre Reptile, from France: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2178 - no bio at present, but a brief one could easily be made from the info on their website: http://sombrereptile.canalblog.com/pages/bio/24888663.html

My contributions to the site haven't had a particularly favourable reception in recent times, and I can't add bios anyway - I leave things like this to people of higher rank who know what they're talking about these days - I'm just providing a possible source of info for anyone of appropriate status who feels inclined to tidy the artist addition up, that's all.

^ and ^^ Thanks for the comments - from two of the top blokes on the site, who I have never had a bad word from, and who I would trust with my life. Not everyone on here shares the same opinion of what I used to do though, and a few (yes, only a few I admit...but they're a significant few) didn't seem to welcome my input quite so readily...hence the low profile.

^ I don't think that any kind of criticism you may have received has anything to do with providing biographies for the site. IMHO everyone is welcome to write a bio and even put some of his own comments, and I think this is especially welcomed by people who have had some input to the site

Correct. The criticism I received had nothing to do with the writing of bios, but it certainly made me take a few steps back from where I was (or thought I was...!! )
Anyhow - here's another entry without a bio which could be resolved by anyone who felt the urge to do so: Violence Fog (http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=5118). Info from which a bio could reasily be created is located here: http://www.longhairmusic.de/violencejerusaenglish.htm. The other band involved in the sole release which featured Violence Fog (a split album, as SWF-Sessions Vol. 6) were called Jerusalem, but they don't appear to have a page on the site at the moment. Nevertheless, if they ever do get added here then the info to make a bio for them is available at the same link. There was also a British band called 'Jerusalem' who did a self-titled album in 1972 (produced by Ian Gillan), and another in 2009 called 'Escalator' - which are more in the vein of classic/heavy rock than prog, but might be of interest to some folks on here. A few tracks from the British 'Jerusalem' can be heard here, for anyone interested: |

I have been trying to add some bios to bands without any at all and have so far managed to add bios for:
Spiral Realms updated to Space Rock (previously had no bio) - not a great pic though Time and Tide updated to Neo Prog (previously had no bio) Revelation updated to Neo (previously had no bio) - picture is just album cover - so dang obscure |

Ah Violence Fog! that was a complex one but I attempted a bio using bits of info from the websites and albums... Jerusalem complicated things but I think it makes sense now No photo of the band so I added the album cover. |

Thanks for that i counted 78 bands without bios - thats pretty doable considering it was over 300 bands at the beginning of this thread some years back. I will keep having a go when I can. With some of the album reviews on the above artists it is possible to come up with fairly decent bios even without internet info.

Plenty of info available for Camera for a start (translate with Google): http://www.berliner-zeitung.de/berlin/camera-spielen-bis-der-wachschutz-kommt,10809148,17010214.html (including good band pic).
They are essentially a young Berlin-based street band, a trio notorious for guerilla-style impromptu concerts in public spaces in Berlin. Camera´s debut album "Radiate!" was released in summer 2012, and the band fascinates audiences everywhere with their exciting and hypnotic music. The three members of Camera are Michael Drummer (drums), Franz Bargmann (guitar) and Timm Brockmann (keyboards). Uwe knows all about these guys too, and might want to lend a hand here: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=887379. Edit: Ignore the first link - everything you need is here - already presented in English, including the same band pic...although the one in the original German link at the top of this post magnifies up to a larger size. There is also a new EP to be added to the band's page 'Système Solaire' - a 12" vinyl release from April this year, and limited to just 700 copies: http://shop.tapeterecords.com/camera-system-solaire.html (all info except track timings, which are given below). 01. Skylla (4:40 02. Meteor (3:33) 03. Skylla (Remix By Solyst) (5:15) 04. Meteor (Remix By Alvin B. Clay) (4:44) Total Time 18:12 Edited by yam yam - November 06 2013 at 09:08 |

Best I can manage for Chris Braun:
Little-known band based in Dortmund, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany who released two albums and two 7" singles in the seventies which have become vinyl collector's rarities, and a further album in 1983. The leader and founder of the group was a talented singer/songwriter named Chris Braun (Chris Brown), whose slightly gruff voice at times has often been compared to Inga Rumpf of FRUMPY, but in general was quite distinctive. She wrote all the music, and was backed by a varying line-up of musicians over the course of her career . Her songs are generally a combination of several genres: folk-rock, blues-rock, hard rock and even a touch of jazz-rock. For discography see: Again, Uwe might be able to throw more light on this artist: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=210525
