Man, that looks really fun! I'd love to be able to travel when I get older, see the world, meet people.

That depends only on yourself! but travelling costs money, you have to save (unless you are one of those who gets on their way without a penny and "let's see where I get to", that's really not for me, I can travel light but I like to have some minimum safety and back-up).

Nice pics you have BTW.

Also, in case anyone is asking I'm not trying to imitate Irmin Schmidt from Can's look circa 1971. I just arrived at that kind of by accident.

I just got back from a 2 day hike of the Grand Canyon's South Rim. Lots of pictures taken, but here are some of my favorites. Sorry for the quality, but I had to bring my lightest camera in terms of my equipment and shots were taken with a 50lb backpack so it was difficult to crouch or steady my shots in any way.

The Grand Canyon is one place I definitely want to visit some time.  It'll be a family trip one of these years.  Thanks for sharing the pics.

It was absolutely amazing Pat. I had been there once before; actually, I was lucky enough to see it during snowfall. However, the view from the inside, particularly on the descent as it is completely exposed, just blows away anything you see at the rim. It's a shame how little justice the pictures do to the depth of the thing. It won't be anything I forget in my lifetime. Nor will my knees and back ever forget the experience.

It's definitely a great vacation. We stayed in Flagstaff, about 80 minutes away ( a beautiful town itself, especially if you like stargazing. Its elevation and local light laws makes for sky vision you would expect passed away with the Industrial Revolution. The Lowell observatory is there and open to the public) for only $35 a night. There's also other attractions like Meteor Crater that are worth seeing with <2 hours drive. I would go several times a year if I could afford it.

Yesterday I was at MIMO, a yearly music festival centered around the city of Olinda 130km away from my city. I drove there with a couple of friends and my girlfriend to see Guillaume Perret & the Electric Epic, but Guillaume had injured his hand and consequently would not be playing his saxophone that night.

However, as these guys were kind enough to not cancel their appearance, the remaining trio of Philippe Bussonet (of Magma/One Shot fame), Yoann Serra (Orchestre National de Jazz) and Jim Grandcamp (Jannick Top's Infernal Machina) put out an INCREDIBLE performance. Best concert I've ever been too, hands down. I was also at the front of the stage, right next to the security guards and really close to the musicians.

They were kind enough to let me talk to them in the backstage right after the gig too! Bubu was really friendly: he gave me his email and told me I was invited to any concert he might play in Brazil :D

Enough babbling, more pics

That guy who photobombed us was the drummer LOL

Great pics! But where are the rogues?
