An all very prim and proper BBC documentary about The Sweet from '74 (before the release of Sweet Fanny Adams).

More biogrpahical, It's A Story Of Four Men In Make-up:

One of the saddest documentaries ever made: The Sweet - Brian Connolly - Don't Leave Me This Way (1996)

What?

Another story about four men in makeup.
Honestly, I didn't think "The Elder" was a bad album.

Hi,

Altamont -- About the infamous concert. It is also a really good look as to how bad and corrupt things had gotten in California. You could tell that the "wrong" people were in charge of the music and "bringing it to the public". Seeing Marty Balin get his face smashed in, and then the othe rincident is not something that makes you feel good, and this film lets you have it.

Sympathy for the Devil -- Jean Luc Godard. One of these days, this film will be worth seeing, but so far this is the worst Godard film ever made.

Let it Be -- Probably one of the best, and saddest documentaries ever, and I wanna know why his jerk'ness or Yoko are not allowing this film to be remastered and released. It is magnificent in every minute of it. The bad side of it, is that the bootlegs had AT LEAST another hor of material that could be added to the film to make it better, more interesting and fun ... but nooooooo ... gotta hide John getting mad at his fellow Beatles and George getting mad ... if you want me to play I will play and if you don't I won't! ... moments that makes them PEOPLE instead of rock stars! I don't think that we will see this in our lifetimes because of the jerks and robbers, still surrounding the Beatle stuff and the fact that Paul and Ringo don't give a damn anyway ... their "star-hood" is better and more important!

It Might Get Loud -- It's worth watching and get a nice idea of what these folks are about ... and I like Jimmy explaining one song ... which is the best moment in the film for me! The Edge is empty for my tastes. Jack is ok, but I'm not impressed with the music! There are far better guitarists that should have been a part of this!

Behind the Music -- The VH-1 series is not all out yet ... and there were some excellent ones in there. Some of the better ones I remember was the one on David Bowie, Jefferson Airplane (I don't want to be some geriatric singing rock'n'roll bitch at 60!), Queen (absolutely magnificent and it handles Freddy's last days beautifully!) for starters. I saw a whole bunch of them, but those were probably the best I remember still. Too many of them, though, were just absolute kissing a$h trash! Even the one on the Bee Gees was good.

Ludicrous to suggest that the Altamont concert shows "how bad things had gotten in California". Granted, a private decision to hire Hells Angels to manage security was ill-conceived, but it hardly reflects on the state of governmental competence.
