Is there a way to view just the threads you posted on? This is a common feature on most forums but I can't find it here (although I am new).

Also, there are many sub-forums, I'm not always sure which to post in, could be simpler I guess.

I would just use the New Posts feature to find the threads to post in. I'm sure that's what everyone typically does.

For your posts finder question, i don't believe there is one - i'm not sure why but heh. I do like it on the other forums though.

You could always use the "Find Member Posts" which can be found both in the drop-down menu next to your username and on your member profile page.

The sub forums work like this:

  • If It is Prog you are talking about and features artists listed in the archive then it goes in one of the Progressive Music Lounges.
    • If it is a general Prog discussion it goes in the Prog Music Lounge
    • If it is about a specific artist or genre listed in the Archive it goes in Prog Bands Artists and Genre Appreciation
    • If it is about a specific album it goes in Prog Recommendations/Featured Albums
    • If it is a list of Prog Artists or Albums it goes in Prog Top 10s and Lists
    • etc.
  • If it is NOT about Prog OR features artists not in the Archive then it goes in the Other Music Related Lounges
    • all these sub-lounges are self explanatory I would hope
  • If it is NOT related to music at all then it goes in Topics not related to music
    • Again, hopefully these sub-lounges are self explanatory

The common foopah or error in forum etiquette is for people to create threads in the Prog Music Lounge that should not be there. The premise is simple - if the thread will sit better in another lounge then that is where it belongs.

^For example, this is in the Prog Music Lounge but really belongs in Featured Albums, probably...

Wishful thinking, but it only shows some of the posts, not all of them. Same if you do a search and specify a username.

For example this function only shows 3 posts and I posted 17 times.

Those three thread are the threads you have created as new topics.

To see all 17 posts you've made you need to change the "Display Results As" drop-down from "Posts" to "Topics"

Thanks. Actually display results is by default "Posts", it's just the "Search In" has to be set to "Message Body" instead of "Topic Subject". O.k., works now.

By the way, I like that Delia Derbyshire pic you use as your avatar a lot.
