^ Prolly best if we just stick to saying what we don't like rather than making uncomplimentary comments about them.

The Who (I can already hear a bunch of angry citizens with peasant forks behind my door) Rush (still) Kraftwerk (sue me) all things pure jazz (i.e., non-fusion stuff, ... still) all things punk and punk rock (post-punk is the only deal from that area that I enjoy) Deep Purple (and if you sue me now, I'll probably be put in jail) The Grateful Dead The JHExperience (I'm in hell now, right?)
* Edited cause I've just remembered that it has to be something prog fans generally like.

Renaissance. I sorta dig Prologue, but their more well-known albums are just far too sugary and velvety, I feel like swimming in a huge pool of oysters. A lot of that is down to Annie Haslam's vocals. I can't deny this woman's skills, but they do sound awful to me. Too........ yeah well something........ they're just too over-the-top, which can be a good thing, though not with Annie. She reminds me of a gay person loudly advertising her sexuality in the fruit and veg part of the supermarket. With Annie it's just that she magically turns every little sentence into a caricature of itself. An explosion of melodrama. Well, I guess a lot of that is probably why most folks dig her too

I can't think of anything I really hate (except for maybe ACDC's vocalist, seriously I feel like he's sawing my brain!) I don't like most of the prog electronic stuff I heard, or heavy psych stuff that nothing but simply nothing is going on. I really hope that will change someday because I know it's all in my head.

Go sit in the corner Gabe.
Seriously though, I would think you'd find lots to love on their first 4 or 5 albums. They have next to nothing of the latter day electronic pop, no this is krautrock with a good deal of avant thrown in for good measure(especially the first orange cone record).

Good Heavens, I am swimming against the tide here, at least 50% of the time. Just looking at the PA's Top 10 ratings ... my enthusiastic agreement is color-coded with green, and my harsh disagreement - with red. 1. Close To The Edge - Perfect, 5/5. 2. Thick As A Brick - 3-4 stars, on a dark night :) - an OK album by a 2nd tier band ... sorry 3. Selling England By The Pound -
4 stars
4. Wish You Were Here -
Perfect, 5/5.
5. Foxtrot -
4 stars
6. In The Court Of The Crimson King -
3, maybe 3.5 stars (how could this be above Red??? 7, Dark Side Of The Moon - Perfect, 5/5.
8. Animals
-
Perfect, 5/5.
9. Red -
Perfect, 5/5.
10. Godbluff -
2/5 stars. Our house has been officially declared a Hammill-free zone Next Q: How did Hybris end up @ #11, while the equal or better Viljans Öga is stuck a dozen or two notches lower? Any why the wonderful Fragile is so much lower than the equally wonderful, but maybe only marginally superior CTTE? Those are just rhetoric Q's, of course.

Sounds like I might not have given them a proper go. I'll try a bit of the early stuff out sometime then David.
