Yeah, the big man was really upset that his latest record (sunsets) was nowhere to be found in the shops and, as always, he spoke his mind about it...allright with me. The crowd response was terrific to the new stuff, great, great concert! |

Thanks Steve, it was a lot of fun. It was kind of fun to just be a player in a country band. I wasn't passionate about the music, but passionate about playing in front of people, and that made the day.

My old childhood games thread was locked so I'll just post this here.
Me and my big brother at Christmas 1972. Rock em Sock em robots were all
the rage
I read you had these in Britain too but they were called Raving Bonkers Edited by Finnforest - January 05 2013 at 16:12 |

Hey guys, came across this picture for the first time in years the other day, thought I'd share it with you, though it's probably 15 years old!
Clearly, in retrospect, I was aiming for a `Steven Seagal dressed by Han Solo's tailor' look! Edited by Aussie-Byrd-Brother - January 05 2013 at 16:39 |

It's the new Steven Segal Mod band. I am guessing you play covers of old The Who tunes right? |

Honestly, Dave...I don't know what the hell I was thinking lol!
I knew I'd eventually starting losing my hair (mission accmoplished - THAT'S a work in progress lol), so I'm sure I was bloody-mindedly determined to grow it long once....I didn't cut it for many years! I'll have to see if I can come across any of my longer ponytail/tye-dye t-shirt monstrosities lol! |

No no, you look totally awesome man!!!
Come on! You are speaking to a guy who once weighed a 125 kilos, wore a kilt, had a big black bullring in my nose and topped it off with huge blue black statue of liberty hair... I don't think I will ever loose my hair. Looks like a combo of hiawatha and bear fur now.... |

Nice memories, I loved the Rockem Sockem Robots. My red robot had a loose head and kept popping up when he was not hit.... I see that hockey game box too, another classic.

Yeah, the hockey was GREAT! I kicked ass on that one.....there was also a football game that moved the pieces by vibrating the field and the players would go off sort of randomly....def not as good as the hockey game.
Aussie, great pic!! |
