I've never done fantasy hockey. Too bad we won't have a season this year.

I couldn't make the damn draft and auto picked.

Not a bad roster though, but I'm not happy with my rb's.

Think I got you beat in week 1 MoM.Tongue

If I recall correctly you autopicked a defense in the second or third round.  Which means your 1st overall pick of Aaron Rodgers was a complete fluke.

Damn I picked some gimps.  LOL  Time for some substitutions.  <<_<<

I am correct that folks on the bench are not counted for a given round, yes?

Also, how do byes work?

I place high value on a good defense in fantasy football.I got some consistently great points from SF's defense last year, and they will do even better this year I think.

Why was using my first pick on Rodgers a fluke?

Whoever sits on your bench will not give you points for that given week.

When players on your roster have a bye week,it will say "bye" next to their name, just sit them on your bench for that week and move someone from your bench into their spot.

I really am peeved I goofed so badly on the MJD thing, and sounds like the holdout may be serious...
I'll hope his common sense kicks in and realizes you dont get paid to sit.

Still, I did great last year with 2 aiight RBs so I still feel ok for now

You're pretty weak in the RB department, may I suggest Ronnie Brown as decent pick-up. He may start as San Diago's back if Ryan Mathews remains injured... He may only start a couple of weeks but that would give time for other injuries to pop up and allow for easier trading.

How does the add/drop/trade feature work?

Does it mean a team can change it's lineup throughout the season at it sees fit, dropping current players and adding free ones?

Yeah that's pretty much the way things work.  There are restrictions like you can't add a guy and start him after his team's game has already begun for the same week, and players who are dropped by other teams get queued up for a few days before anyone else can pick them up.  You can use the 'Research' tab to check out available players and add them from there, but for everyone you add you also have to drop someone to stay at a constant roster of 16.

Because I wouldn't give that much credit to someone who also drafted a defense that early. Big smile  You can't count on consistent turnover production from year to year and that's where defensive points really come from.  You can still get a "proven" defense late in almost every draft or just stream defenses against bad offenses (often the best option, anyway).  Hell, a better argument could be made for going kicker early than defense.

Well, I saw last year with a great QB and receivers you can get away fine with 2 alright backs (in that case Mendenhall and L Blount) or this year I went with one great one. Just f**kin MJD is holding out Cry  My own fault obviously,  just hope he gets back.

I gambled with Royster, he should be decent if he gets any carries but who knows with Washington ever.
Ronnie Brown isn't a bad pick up, I'm thinking between him, Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram, and Michael Bush.

As for Defense I really was aiming for the Giants, since you know they will put up a ton of sacks and get a lot of picks, and generally are good with points.

Unlike the Jets who were crazy stingy with points, but didn't have a ton of sacks and etc
Hate to agree with MoM but he's pretty much right on this one (ohh it hurts to say)

Well, added Bush and dropped Royster. I think I'm ok with backs honestly.

I just changed the waiver rule so that there are no waivers. Dropped players are available as free agents the moment they are dropped by a team. There is also no wait time on players before you can pick them up, so if a star player gets injured their backup becomes very valuable, and its first come first serve, so be on your sh*t game day. If anyone would like the waiver policy reinstated please say so and if the majority of people would like it I'll change it back.

Just  a reminder guys that DAL and NYG play tomorrow night so make sure you have your lineups set.

Why should we have to set our sunday players tomorrow night?  Is this one of those stupid leagues that require all moves be made before the weeks first game is played?  Should be able to make changes to our rosters sunday morning, if the players being switched haven't played yet.

You don't have to, but if you have Giants or Cowboys players then those need to be set. If you think a player is going to be out Sunday, and you have a DAL/NYG player on your bench, you would need to play them. I'm just putting it out there since you usually don't worry about lineups until Sunday or Thursday half-way through the season.
