Moderator

With the very encouraging growth of the forum, perhaps it is time to have a member called "Moderator". Maani of course carries out a first class job as the moderator, and long may that continue.

I would suggest though that a separate "Moderator" name be used for posts and PM’s relating to activity on the forum.

• It would be clear that any post by "Maani" were contributions by him to the topic being discussed
• It would be clear that any posts by the "Moderator" were of an admin nature.
• The moderator profile could be shared by Maani with "deputies" so that if he is on holiday, too busy, etc, the forum continues to be policed. Indeed, the task of moderating could be shared among several people, with one say looking after the Main Discussions, one for the Discussions not related to music etc.
• There is an element of anonymity to the Moderator profile which would make any chastisement of members less personal but perhaps carry more "weight"

The volume of posts to the forum appears to be constantly increasing. Consequently, the moderating task must be becoming daunting.

Maani, what are your views on this, would it help? What’s the general view?
