what is the most impressive feat do you think, what is most progressive, ahead of its time, mandolin overdubs or voice overdubs,

what is the most innovative song of these two in turms of recoridng and songwriting,

I LOVE DEEPLY both these tracks and bands, but gotta go with I'm Not In Love. Such a unique sound that can't ever be replicated.

^ I agree that I'm Not In love is outherworldly, and mysterious sounding, the floating fender rhoads is an integral part of that feal.

"I'm Not In Love" was so unique in the 70s that 10,000 other artists copied the same sound. Therefore, I hate it.  Wink
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

It's been a long time that I heard "I'm not in love", and never really liked it so much. The Procol Harum song was nice, though I must confess I don't really know them at all.

I'm Not in Love is just amazing with it's vocal overdubs that almost sound like a fairlight cmi.
