I love PA for the reviews and insights they give to me, nearly anything can be found uploaded onto YouTube these days! It's a nice way to catch up on stuff that we've been remiss on listening to.

Magnification is quite good; there are moments that approach the glory of the classic incarnations of the band and I think you would enjoy it. The two epics, Dreamtime and In the Presence Of, are incredible.

Just listened to it. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. It's really different from the other Yes albums I own (Close to the Edge, Tales From Topographic Oceans, Relayer) but just as good. I love the way Squire, Wakeman and Howe each get a chance to really showcase their chops. The Fish is further evidence for my belief that 7/4 is the swingingest time signature ever.

I find the only SBB album that's really a masterpiece and MUST-HAVE is Memento. That album's under the top 100 and it only has fewer than 200 ratings! A one of a kind masterpiece. EDIT: Oh, and The Snow Goose is my favorite album of all time. But it's an acquired taste as not everyone likes the calmness of the album.

Oh, Per and Storia are just about the best albums ever. (if you like the
instruments of Genesis, also has the 'softness' of Genesis)
But I'd really only get Hammill's solo stuff after getting all the highest-rated Graaf albums. Their great if you like Hammill.

I've never heard anything by PFM or Le Orme, Nursery Cryme, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Brain Salad Surgery, Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt, the Yes Album and worst of all Fragile.
BUT!
I just bought the 2011 remaster of Fragile today (for $5! What a steal!) and am looking forward to listening to it when I get home. I will report back with my impressions.

As a rush fan i`d check out Porcupine Tree - fear of a blank planet. Alex plays guitar on anaesthetise.
For neo-prog I'd suggest IQ frequency.
Hawkwind are a mixed bag but you should check out Quark, Strangeness and charm;levitation ; Live chronicles and space ritual.
Flower kings latest Banks of Eden is quite representative.
SB both V and X are pretty nifty.
Have you heard transatlantic? Would recommend smpte and the whirlwind.

Dude, you gotta check out Bobby Wyatt first. Out-freaking-standing album. Experimental jazzy pop has never been so exciting.
I believe I've failed to mention that I haven't heard a single Pete Hammill (solo) and Herbie Hancock (also solo) album.
