Vompatti (synths, percussion, and drum machine) and I (guitar and banjo) have been busy at work recording an industrial/acoustic album under the name Hanashukketsu (鼻出血).

I hope you enjoy it :D

Just sampling it right now, I'm on the first track and it sounds very interesting; the interplay between the banjo and bells is especially creative.  I'll download it when I get on my desktop, I'm definitely enjoying it so far.  Good stuff Thumbs Up.

Just downloaded it, listening now.

By the way, Alan, have you thought about adding vocals to Hanashukketsu?  I can totally see some Toby Driver-style melodies over some of this music, and a spoken word poem would actually fit perfectly.  Just an idea for future albums Wink.

Not really my thing, but I found the use of banjo as contrast to the noise very interesting. Also, I liked the drum sound in the last track.

There are a lot of things I'd like to try and vocals are on that list, but I don't know how I'd like to do them, though Vompatti probably wouldn't have trouble writing some poetry (he's an author of sorts). We have been discussing a saxophone addition in our future.

You can PM me if you need poems/lyrics and want to collaborate, I write lyrics and could definitely do something that would match the music (your music reminds me of one of the lyric poems I wrote "The Perversion of Ambience," although I already have musical ideas for that particular one).

Cool stuff guysClap
Reminds me slightly of an industrial take on Art Zoyd's 80s electronics, and then not really. It's relaxing and strangely soothing and then not really, but I do like it quite a lotBig smile
Kudos Alan and Vomps!

Had a friend that doesn listen to prog listen to it and he was like.... You're f**king weird greg. Where do you meet these people? This is odd music.

:-D Mission accomplished dudes.

Also, I enjoy it, but I'm not big on longer repetitive stuff- I would enjoy a more contant mutation I think is how I would put it. Still great though- As the mixed bag you've got there brings out a strange array of emotions.
