I just watched these recently for the first time in a while. Which one is your favorite?

I love the first one the most. Lots of warmth and incredible acting all around.

The Two Towers, the battle of the Helm's Deep is simply spectacular.

The 1st. Love hobbiton scenes, Rivendell scenes, Loth Lorien scenes and all the scenes . It's beautiful. But I love all pf them.
The second has its magic, because of the Gondor plains, Fangorn forest and lots of heroical moments. I always count the days from Gandalph's departure. The third...it's just completing the mission, but it's great as well. |

^The battle at Helm's Deep is an abomination. I didn't really have a problem with many of the changes in the film up until that point. Just from a film standpoint though, I can't stand it. The stupid comedy team of Aragorn and Gimli that puts on a performance during the battle alone ruins it.
I've never seen the third one so I can't comment really. I liked the first movie. |

I don't like the comedy either, but the battle is amazing. Iván

A scene breaker, that. I realize they were trying to go for the completion of the Act I Moria run of "Dwarves are never tossed (but we don't mind our beards pulled or falling to our doom)," but even in that context, it falls flat. |

Return of the King.
And I'll disagree with everyone here and say I liked the comedy moments of the Helms Deep battle. I had more problems with their being an elven army their than any thing else. |

It's basically one piece of film split into three parts, none of which is a complete movie. That said, I found the first part fairly enjoyable.

Number 1 is more of a complete film, and gets my vote, but I did enjoy Gollum's discussion with himself in 2 towers

Ooh, I love The Lord Of The Rings - my favourite movie franchise of all time. I'd say The Return Of The King for it's epicness and emotion. Fantastic acting as well, of course.

The Return of the King, closely followed by The Fellowship of the Ring. |
