Ok ok, but who would sound the best as a duo playing together on stage. Rarely see a keyboard/drum jam :)

- Banks - Collins
- Wakeman - Bruford
- Walsh - Ehart
- Emerson - Palmer
- Wakeman - Tony Fernandez
In no particular order, but I believe the pair that does a more solid combined work are Walsh - Ehart from Kansas, this doesn't mean Walsh is better than Wakeman, Emerson or Banks because he's not (Even when I must admit Ehart is my favorite drummer), but it means they work better together, closely followed by Wakeman - Fernandez.

Jordan Rudess
&
Vinnie Colaiuta
Jeremy Colson (Dali's Dillema, etc) and John Macaluso (Ark, etc) are also beasts behind the kit. And should be "household" prog names.
Neal Morse is my favourite piano player...not neccessarily the best. Also love Fredrik Hermansson from Pain of Salvation.

On the last Dream Theater tour Rudess and Portnoy performed an awesome keyboard/drum spot, an improv based off Zappa.

Keyboarder: Not sure. Drummer: Without any doubt the late Pierre Moerlen, who influenced my drumming style most.

On 2nd thought, why not name Barbara Dennerlein as keyboarder? She plays fusion, but she also gives concerts on church organs. And she really makes them swing. Who would believe "Satisfaction" by the Stones would work on church organ? And Barbara Dennerlein has one big advantage compared to other keyboarders: She doesn't need a bass player, since she plays a fantastic bass herself with her foot pedals. It is really something to see her live on stage.

Barbara Dennerlein (heavily modified Hammond B3) plays duos with Daniel Messina (drums). Those duos are more like trios though, since Barbara also provides bass lines with her foot pedals. She has an amazing technique for the foot pedals. Unsurpassed in that field.
