I keep seeing ads here for a Boston Dream Theater show with "Special Guests".

One of the ads says "The Crimson Projekct", but the Live Nation ticket site says "Details: Dream Theater, King Crimson, Crimson Projekct"

Does anyone know who is really touring with Dream Theater?
Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

I think i've read it's a Crimson Projekct - without Fripp. Not 100% sure though.

AFAIK it's Adrian Belew's trio and Tony Levin's trio mashed together and they play Crimson tunes. Maybe that's a totally different thing, I forget.

It's the same band as toured last year as a combination of Stick Men and Adrian Belew's Power Trio called the Two of a Perfect Trio tour.

Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Markus Reuter, Julie Slick and Tobias Ralph.

They'll be performing the songs of King Crimson.

Fantastic set last year, I've got tickets for Cincinnati and must admit I'm mainly going for them.

Beaten to it. Tongue But it does sound awesome. Admittedly I just want tickets for the ProjeKct.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Oh, if only they would extend that North American tour to Mexico... more because of Crimson Project than because of DT (which I also love and wouldn't mind seeing live again).

I wouldn't mind seeing this ProjeKct, but I saw DT (with Zappa Plays Zappa, and a few other bands in the Bank of America Pavillion in Boston 2 years ago, and the sound was extremely bad.   Only ZPZ managed to not sound like a wall of distortion.
Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

Can't wait for this! going to be a sick show. Finally, a prog band touring with DT again and not a crap band like Trivium. I can't believe Roadrunner paired the 2 together. When I saw DT last year, Trivium opened for DT and nobody showed any interest, so little that the vocalist/guitarist got pissed and told us to show some enthusiasm & Energy.  As soon as DT came out though, the whole place erupted, everybody stood up - the entire atmosphere changed instantaneously! From there on in it was an AMAZING show.

yeah, Trivium was a chore to listen too.   they seem like talented guys, but to resort to power chords and growls...just doesn't cut it when your waiting for DT to come out.  not to mention, all john had to do was look at one person and give his thumbs up and the place goes apesh*t!  heartfelt.  you can't manufacture that Trivium.

i really wish this KC-DT tour was coming my way.  i would love to see it!
