I always wanted to listen to Traffic, but I never did. Are they any good? Which album are you listening to?

I'm listening to their self-titled album, but Mr. Fantasy is better. They're fairly straight-forward blues rock with light psychedelic touches.

Oh, lol.

However, according to PA.com: your ultimate prog rock resource, this isn't a very good album by them. Have you ever listened to THIS?

I have it but I haven't listened to it yet. I jacked a few of my dad's old '60s-'70s prog albums last time I was home and I'm just now listening to them.

Yup, he frequently listened to Pink Floyd and Kansas and some other bands, but what really got me interested in prog was the then small local band Between the Buried and Me.

Wow, it was pretty much the same with me (except that there wasn't Kansas, but Yes and Mutantes) and I only got interested when I heard about some obscure and innovative metal band in music school called Dream Theater *flashback*.

My dad was a huge Kansas fan as well. Shocked Kansas and Queen are what got me started.

BTBAM introduced me to King Crimson because they did a good cover of "Three of a Perfect Pair", which is now my favorite KC album. It feels nice having grown up with a local band who are now kinda big.

Wow, really? I don't like much their 80's/90's era (Discipline excepted), but that's an impressive leap!

Their '90s stuff is kind of boring IMO, but songs like "Industry" and "Dig Me" from Three of a Perfect Pair are so interesting. What's your favorite KC?
