I might be wrong with this one as I'm not an english language native but here's my guess.
This is another one about Spain's Prog in the dark years of Franco's dictatorship in the early 70's (and again about the band Iceberg by the way).
There was a lot of censorship in those times, anything too "modern" or libertarian would be censored. Swearing words were also censored from any public writing or play.
Some artists looked for escape in writing or singing or playing in english or other languages. At that time there were not many people in Spain who could speak english (or other languages for what matters), let alone the censors.

So when writing in english, artists could be a bit more free. For sure the texts would go under the scrutiny of censors, but frequently the censors did not really master the language and they would only notice obvious expressions or words.

The great fusion band Iceberg in their 1975 debut album Tutankhamon (their only one with lyrics) wanted to include the f*ng word in the lyrics of Lying On The Sand, but to avoid it being censored they spelled it as fakin' so that censors would not get it, and apparently it worked because it went to print in the original LP sleeve, which I have and show below.

Now, I know that "Fakin" has some slang meanings nowadays but as far as I can tell they would not apply to this case, and remember that this was 1975's Spain. So I guess that my interpretation of why Fakin' appears here is the right one.

Music is about music. Not mass-produced sounds. Prog is the answer. The answer to everything musical. Prog uses instruments, ensembles and decent materials.
Prog is the answer.

There is an obscure Canadian 70s band with a similar name called Octavian. (They were also my first high school rock band concert in 1976)

Most of this tedious info is well known and not obscure at all. Nice try. No cigar. Most of this stuff you just need to look at the cover to see yourself. Oh..so..obscure!
Almost everyone knows Oct is eight.

Just because you knew that doesn't mean everyone knows it.
Have a think about that one...

Every member of Yes, past and present, has had exactly ten toes.

Did you personally check each one?  I' ve never seen any pictures of them unshod.  Perhaps they're hiding something.

When I was in high school we had to read a science fiction book , the name I forget, that was set in the future and in which certain children were born with extra toes and had mind-reading abilities.  Of course, they were hunted down and killed.  Is one of the Yes members a mutant?

I have seen Rick Wakeman playing at no more than 2 meters from my nose. I've been unable to count even how many hands he has.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

The book was called the Diviners and was written by Canadian author Margaret Laurence.  It's considered one of the classics of Canadian literature.  It has been banned from many schools due to complaints by fundamentalist christian groups who call it blasphemous since the children with the pychic powers and extra digits were considered heretics and hunted down by the religious powers in the book.

Long John Baldry formed a group in 1966 that had Reg Dwight on keyboards and Elton Dean on sax.  Later on, Reg Dwight adopted the name Elton John, combining the names of his two former bandmates!

Full disclosure -- I also got this off Wikipedia, but a reliable friend pointed me to it several weeks ago.  Seems plausible enough.

I have no idea how obscure this is or not, but every time you hear "shock!" in the Peter Gabriel song 'Shock The Monkey' you're hearing the voice of Peter Hammill.
