Hey guys my band finally put our full length album on bandcamp, you can choose whatever you want to pay for it, or download it for free, whatever you think it's worth. Let me know feedback, I like feedback.

I am a huge Dune fan and after seeing the title of The Fall of House Atreides I had to give a listen to the track! Sounds very good, I'll have to check the entire album out now!

We were deemed not progressive enough by progarchives so we didn't get included yet... but the songs that were up at the time did not properly illustrate what our overall sound was, i think the tunes that were up were personal gods, persuasion and chalk lines... which are our least progressive tunes. However do you think they would take another look at it since I have more representative material up?

After listening to some samples my overall impression is that the album sounds professional and the band has real potential! Keep it up.

We have a new guitar player and have been working on new stuff for a while, really optimistic about the next album, which is a concept

Since it was initially rejected by the team it might take a while... but from what I hear (based on The Fall of House Atreides and Gordian Knot) I'd say you are Neo-Prog (not my favorite Prog sub-genre but I am really enjoying your album!).... IMO you belong to Prog Archives! (but I am not in the Neo-Prog team, so I can't do much about it).

If "Maiden Voyage" is new you can try to speed things up by suggesting the group again arguing that you have new material out....

I reckon posting your albums for free is the way to go, will post what I think later.

When I (eventually) complete mine, here is the first place I will go for free downloads.

Since the very first post of Prog_Bassist I thought that hey deserve a place in neo-prog (but he says that this is not how they consider themselves).

I hope this band is given another chance.

It's the story of your addition. Start from bottom, you took 3 charts and 2 years to get the first "YES" 11 days ago Beer

I bumped the initial suggestion for you guys in the New Bands & Artists forum on 10th Jan: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=70120. Andy replied thus: 'Thought Machine has been thrown into the pits of discussion... which means we won't get to a final decision most likely for a little while, until after we've cleared our back log. I voted move to crossover (IIRC), and if Karl or Cesar choose to vote move they'd be moved, but they're not our priority right now'.
He said in a reply to me in another thread (for 'Not Otherwise Specified' - another artist with an album that was most definitely regarded by everyone as decent enough prog, but which no team seemed willing to accept...) that his plan was to clear and add all bands with 2011 albums before February 20th this year. Well hopefully that has now been achieved...I guess the problem in your case is that your album wasn't released in 2011, but well beforehand!!  LOL
Your stuff is prog without a doubt, and as far as I'm concerned it belongs in our archives. Hopefully, now the voting appears to have started, we'll finally get things sorted out for you. Thumbs Up

I knew this sounded familiar. Sadly we were all tied up about you guys over at Heavy Prog, but we're sure to get to get to you guys in the near future. Thumbs Up
