Just had to mention L'UOVA DI COLOMBO's album.I listened to it on the way into work today and was impressed with the nasty organ and fantastic drum work from this band.Killer stuff !

Andrea, a few weeks ago you introduced me to the Graziani's album : Ballata per 4 stagioni. Il really fell in love with it. The songs are so well written. If you have other suggestions about such composers of the seventies, I take it. Thanks very much.

Thanks.I've been using that and http://www.italianprogrock.com/ lately, and actually I was looking for more websites to compare criteria on a specific album.

BTW I didn't know the blog in your signature, thank you  Tongue. Is it yours?

Yes, but it's focused on the current scene. Let me know what you think about it...
Thanks!
Absolutely.
I and I'm sure so many others appreciate your efforts on RPI.(You may want to try to get more traffic in your blog, many people love RPI but don't know your blog)
I think transforming the thoughts from emotions to words is one of the hardest things that I, for one, am lame at it.

Important BTF reissue of this great Psyché, Prog, Folk album. Alan Sorrenti is not so far.

GIANII D'ALLAGLIO : SERA MATINA ( 1972)

First and only album by this musician of Lucio Battisti, Alberto Radius and Il Volo. Reissued in CD by Mellow in the nineties. Very hard to find.

UT : HOMO ( 1974)

First album of this roman band. Nice mix of pop and symphonic prog. (Vinyl only, I think)

I'm not a religious guy too, but the most beautiful music often comes from the faith of the musician. RPI has always be close to Bach and Vivaldi, even in its most profane songs.

PA has a well-written bio about J.E.M, and in addition to it this Album is a good classic symphonic prog.

Quel giorno di uve rosse had me think that, do most of these religious Italian bands use soft rhythm?.
Actually I think this kinda music has another musical history behind it, IMO they just happen to be in 70s and similar to what we call Prog now, and has an independent background.

I'm not a religious guy in any kind of it, but as I liked fairy tales in my childhood also now I sometimes like supernatural themes in songs which has its own mood.
