Yes that was serious. Is Obama vs Romney such a bad choice that our libertarians would go for none of the above. And I got some serious answers. ![]() ![]() Obama has $240M, Willard has $120M, so why does Obama keep asking me for $5? ![]() South Carolina Is As Red As It Gets Edited by Slartibartfast - January 14 2012 at 07:28 |

Well, down to 5 now. Huntsman is gone. The question is how long will Perry and Gingrich last.
On Slarti's question, Obama vs Romney would be so horrible. I wouldn't know who to give my first-ever presidential useless vote. I can't just no-vote the first time I can vote though... ![]() |

Take a word of advice from me, the presidential race isn't going to be the only thing on your ballot. We often get uncontested judges up for vote. I just skip them and vote for the other things. Also it's worth keeping in mind that your vote counts the most in elections that get the least attention. |

Wait a second, I've got a cult following? How can I make money off of them? Seriously, I think a Paul/Obama contest would be good for the country. I mean think about it, a guy who thinks racial discrimination is a good thing because he is utterly devoted to his philosophy vs. a guy who is a product of white and black parents? And at 20:03 on January 16, 2012 Slarti hits a new partisan hack low. Wow, just unbelievably sickening. Thinking Jim Crow laws were repulsive afronts to liberty is supporting racial discrimination because....well.... Obama's not completely white: I see it all so clearly now. I do fear in one 3 minute stretch Dr. Paul served up neo-cons, dems, and the MSM the keys to crippling his recent surge. I'm not feeling good after this debate. In politics you have to #dodge sometimes.

Frankly, Paul flubbed the foreign policy questions tonight- bad. Relatively speaking, he isn't that articulate to begin with, and this time he really stumbled over his words. We all know where he stands- but his audience is obviously a crowd who doesn't realize that you can't destroy our enemies and bring the troops home at the same time. |

The crowd was yelling like crazy in support of aggresion. I think Paul had a good moment when he said, emphatically, that we don't need more wars and more but te audience's intelligence will not be enough to understand. Ron Paul has always had a problem with making sure his points can be understood even by idiots like many in today's audience. His obsession with talking about bubbles and keynesian this and that doesn't help when you have guys like Romney whose slogans appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Specifically, the Bin Laden question. The way he answered was a political disaster in that it was hard to understand and can be easily be taken out of context and used in anti-Paul soundbites.

The ultimate question is this: Does America want platitudes or substance? Romney offers one. Paul offers the other.
But these debates are obvious BS. How much speaking time did Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum get compared to Paul? The moderators chided Paul when he finished his sentence, but let the other three guys run the show. ![]() |

The large amount of sickos that fox let be in the debate crowd didn't help, either. Newt gets a standing ovation for believing minority children should be made to be school janitors? They boo the golden rule?
If it wasn't for the shameful crowd reactions and Ron's stumble then the debate would have been pretty funny:
- Rick Perry says SC at war with the federal government (Civil War much)
- Senator Frothy Mix asked a question about the plight of blacks in America. He's probably the only person to ever live in Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA), and maybe it's because he only faked living there, that has never met a black person.
- Mitt Romney comes out as strongly anti-Bigfoot on a day in which Animal Planet is airing a marathon of their awful Finding Bigfoot show

How about Santorum, in the same breath, said he believes in a 17.5% flat tax on businesses (because it's fair), but because social security is in trouble, rich retirees shouldn't benefit from a system they were forced to pay into their entire lives.

They gave Paul a lot of time in the foreign policy section, of course, where his views and the modern republicans' differ the most.
Another weak comeback was when he and Santorum got into the gun control thing. Paul's final reply was kind of awkward. On other news, I still can't understand Slarti's last post. |
