Foot and half long magenta mohawk (sort of).  Gotta love self-employment!

Currently, my hair is short-ish.

I started growing out my hair in high school. I then got it cut during 11th grade and had it short for a few months. I let it grow again until the massive curly lion mane was just too much to handle and I had my last haircut about 6 months ago, hence the short-ish length.

As my profile pic shows, I have a curly mass on my head. Though it's always been my dream to grow a ponytail...

For those of us of sufficient vintage without the luxury of choice, we can only vote for long hair alas Cry

Not in a few months. It's growing back though.

Nope, never have.  I did have a beard for a couple of years though.

Yup...pony tail man. Look like every other guy at an Opeth show.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Long, getting longer - everybody keeps begging me to cut it. Nearly two feet from the top of my head. I don't want to cut it.

I grew mine out when I was 16, cut it at 18, started growing again at 19.

Now I'm (gasp) 39.

I had fine long hair in the 70's, nice ponytail, the whole deal, hell I looked like Wakeman minus the cape. Now I don't have much hair. I just have my wife get out the beard trimmer once or twice a year and run it over the scalp and we's good to go.
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

Yesterday, I met a she-friend of mine. She said that my hair was long enough to be groomed in ponytails.

I'm not exactly open to this suggestion.

I'll only wear a pony tail with sufferance and under duress when I've been told to "smarten myself up a bit" - I prefer not to. For a laugh I would wear bunches or (what, back in my Goth days, we used to call) a 'My Little Pony' (a pony tail worn high on the head), but I wouldn't be able to put my hat on and that would not do at all.
What?

Can't imagine ever having, or wanting, long hair.

I still wish I coulda known what it's like to have normal long hair and not that crazy jewfro I got. Regardless, it was a pain and at long length I would just get out of the shower and leave it be and do it's thing...
So much easier now guess I don't really miss it.

I had really long hair in the 70's and to be honest, I looked too much like a girlShocked  Of course my stupied picture would show up in newspapers with other glamo rockers I worked with. Girls were following me everywhere and it must have appeared to others that I was one of them. Talk about the ancient...in the 70's when girls followed guys around with long hair. Macho guys in the audience would be jealous and make some pretty rude provoking remarks like "Isn't she sweet?"LOL   Then you had all these ego rockers playing guitar letting their hair swing across their faces. Jesus H! That crap made me so sick to my stomach. I wasn't the type of person to agree with fashion and regardless of what it contained on the agenda of others, it was the clone wars for me. I wore those satin jackets and I looked identical to Andy Frasier on the cover of the Free album "Fire and Water". Isn't she sweet? I still can't get over how stupied the remarks and the hair style itself ...was. What a waste of energy.
