I think that in my runthrough of Magma studio albums today, I'm going to listen to a live version of Kohntarkosz instead, because the studio version pales in comparison to most of them.

Indeed.

The same kind of applies for Wurdah Itah.  I'll take the Theusz Hamtaahk Trilogie version over it.

Some live WI are better, yeah, but I like the studio version well enough...as for Kohntarkosz, the epic is my least favorite studio release from them.  The short tracks are better, IMO.
