Skyrim is getting intense!
For a bit it slowed but picking back up. Also my copy is somehow still running fine at 90 hours :O

I just can't play more than one game at a time...idk why, but I do want to get around to skate. Havn't played a skating game in forever.

This is the first real problem I've actually had with the game. I tried to defrag the game files and checked the integrity of the game cache (Steam functions) but that did nothing. Gonna run a fresh reinstall now.

I played Skate 2 a fair bit at a friend's house a year or two ago, really good fun. The last skating game I've completed was Tony Hawk's Underground, which was awesome fun.

Also, just bought:

Valkyria Chronicles (already played this once but have been dying to play it again) Vanquish

Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Last one was kind of an impulse buy but it was only 5$ extra on top of AC: Brotherhood (hell yeah, holiday sales). Those 4 were a grand total of 60$ which is pretty amazing for Australia.

My mate finished the main quest and is continue with side quests again now.

I wonder how long it took someone to complete every single side quest (I understand you'd need to do more than one playthrough to achieve all of them) and the main plot?

I haven't installed it on mine, so cannot say if it's his copy or his machine.  I'm running my machine at its limit as it is.  So I may have to forego installing it for a while.

Valkyria Chronicles!

Always looked sooo good, but that game suffered actually due to my one at a time thing. I forget what I was already playing (I want to say Demons Souls) and that got forgotten about. Damn I should take a break from Skyrim soon and play that!

Valkyria Chronicles didn't show up on the email reciept I got, and then the store said it was out of stock Ended up grabbing Vanquish for the same price anyway.

When I finally get around to playing Terraria, is actually possible to play it satisfactorily by myself or will I need to sometimes have to be sociable and speak to folk?

It's possible to play alone, but harder, especially if you're stupid like me and put your character on mediumcore. Also kinda lonely. Generally preferable to play with friends. World and characters are independent, so you don't have to worry about porting this way or that.

Speaking of which, anyone keen on running a persistent Terraria server?

I thought you'd given up on Terraria? LOL

Well, a few of my P.A. friends play it, so when I get around to it, I am sure some can assist me and make it less lonely.

You mean like, leave a character logged into a world permanently?  Or is there a different way to do that?

No, no, run a server. Persistent world. Obviously would have to be reset eventually when someone off and kills the WoF, else nobody could join.

Just started playing Magicka today with a friend...that game is a TON of fun, and full of funny references and such.

Having never played Minecraft or even had a chance to download Terraria yet, what's the general idea of the game?  Is it a fast learning curve?

Minecraft is mainly about building things and therefore not as good

Terraria is more about exploring, IMO, and isn't hard to pick up because the guide (as retarded as he is, seriously, stop walking into my lava trap) tells you everything to do at the beginning

Yet people still seem to be obsessed by Minecraft... I've seen screenshots of it... it's really quite blocky!  I'm not sure I could cope with all those straight lines.

Terraria is frustrating. Don't play on Mediumcore, and especially not on Hardcore. I just lost everything -- AGAIN -- by being instagibbed (1030 damage where the max possible HP in the game is 500) by an enemy that appears out of nowhere and just eats you instantly. I can't even get my stuff back.

Which enemy was that?  The only thing that's ever instagibbed me was Skeletron, and only because of a multiplayer glitch
