Topic: From Rating To Review? Posted: January 05 2012 at 07:44 |
I just wrote a review for an album and I had it already rated (not reviewed) but when I tried to submit it, the website stated that, "A rating/review posted 12/27/2010 1:28:54 PM for this album already exists for user (cannon). I realised, after the fact that I should of "edit" my rating as oppossed to writing a new review. Is there anyway I can submit my review without losing the work I've already done? My typing skills are brutal and it took me awhile to get 'er done.

^ It seems to me that you've answered the question yourself. I think you need to "edit" a previous rating-only instead of trying to post a new rating+review, indeed.

So there is no way I can somehow save my work? I tried to delete my old rating but that didn't work. Can I delete my old rating then submit my review?

I'm not sure what you mean by saving your work. If you mean not losing the review you want to post review when getting an error message, then the only way to do it is write the review in a Word editor first, save the document, then copy+paste it from there into the PA page.

The review is already written here in PA under the album "Solid" and I get the error message when I try and submit it. Is there anyway you or anyone on the admin team could delete my old rating? Then maybe the site would accept my review. Does that make sense?

If you mean the album Solid by Groundhogs, you don't have the review already on PA, only a rating.
If you want to edit it to include the review and you can't, I can delete the old rating, maybe that will solve the issue. |

Yes please. I tried to delete the rating myself but it didn't work. If you can delete my rating, then I'll try and submit my review.

Right on! It worked. Thanx a million harmonium. I learned my lesson...I hope. Typing is agonizing for me. Next time, I'll edit my rating then write my review.
