You had the awful vocals of Stolt on the early albums. Wink

I like The Tangent though (although I've only heard the first 3).

I own Not As Good As The Book, and love it. Now i bought The World We Drive Through, from iTunes. Sounds much more jazzy and not as much emphasis on vocals.

The first 3 are pretty good from what I can remember.  Although this was in my phase when I liked Symphonic Prog more.  I prefer them to most Symphonic Prog bands though and I wouldn't call them neo-prog either.

Nothing is popular there, Matt.  You're the only one who lives there.  Just you.  Naked, stood on a precipice looking down at the naked world around you full of nothingness and nakedness.

The Tangent walk the line between symphonic and eclectic/jazz-fusion. They're under eclectic here.

Their first 2 albums seem to be in line with The Flower Kings material at the time (symphonic with lots of jazz mixed in). From their 3rd album onwards, they began to have their own sound, with much more rock, fusion, funk and Canterbury styles.

Don't worry, nobody reads the reviews of non-collabs and even collab revierws that have a special spot don't are analyzed because it takes an effort.

Take this guy's review of Black Clouds: it is OBVIOUSLY based off the album's first leak, which had a considerable darker sound and no bass whatsoever. Yet, does anybody listen to me when I pointed that fact? No. Then f**k it, just hammer your head on the keyboard and publish it.

Hey, he's my favorite reviewer. LOL

No, Matt.  You're imagining yourself naked.

And yes!  You should definitely act on the above.  You could be the Jesus of Michigan!

You should buy a Kaftan and go around preaching nonsense to the locals.  They'd be putty in your hands and you'd be like Brian from... oh, you haven't see Life of Brian... fail.
