For me, yes. I'll list some:
The Pass
YYZ (and just about every other track on Moving Pictures. actually)
Red Barchetta
La Villa Strangiato
Bastille Day
Something for Nothing
Jacob's Ladder.....
I could go on for some time.
|
I'll add Cygnus X-1 Xanadu By Tor and the Snow Dog on the other hand how do we know they will win in a poll.
|
Of course I meant in a poll. Surely there are many people who will like many songs more than Starless... but if you make a poll, which song could actually beat it? Of course, it's rather easy to find out, one only needs to make the poll. Perhaps later on I'll do it... but there are many songs suggested, and people may grow tired of seeing so many polls of "X Rush Song vs Starless".

Let us just say that there is a medical industry that specializes in increasing the thickness of a certain male organ in answer to the saying that "size doesn't matter" followed by a snicker.

In other words, it was a failed attempt at a joke that just didn't work.

Even though there are many albums and songs that I like from King Crimson, I believe the only album that I would rate with 5* is ItCotCK. But then, that's just me. |
Just because it was influential doesn't make it 5*. In the Court.. is nothing compared to their other albums musically.

Just because you say it isn't, doesn't mean it isn't, it only means that you think so.

Rush easily for me. IMO, they are more cohesive than KC.

Well, I wouldn't rate it 5* because it was influential or anything. It was released 10 years before I was born, and I got to know many other prog bands before I heard ItCotCK, so how influential it was means little to me. I would rate it 5* because it is the album that has the music I like better throughout the whole album, and the one album which I like best to listen from start to end. Epitaph is perhaps my very favourite song of theirs (close with Starless).
