Chrono Trigger was too, as well as FFVI.

The problem is much less significant/frequent on Xbox but its' still most definitely present. More and more people on the Bethesda forums are asking about it. Also, Pete Hines has denied what the New Vegas dev said although Bethesda are nowhere near trustworthy these days. IGN called out Bethesda on the lag which I didn't expect to happen either. This is getting more and more interesting.

THAT is what concerns me most, well ok....also the fact the PS3 seems to have an inherent problem that gets progressively worse. But yeah, Ima hope my game just stays at this level or at least remains playable, if so I'm not touching those patches and risking it.

  Heh, now I know what you were talking about with the source mods Colin. I just accidentally wandered onto a server with low gravity, 100% crits and a dice mod. I can't believe I can get achievements from this: I just whored a few taking advantage of the ease with which I can kill people on it with the syringe gun and bonesaw and god mode (although I failed because I confused what the achievement was and killed a bunch of people with the bonesaw when really I needed to be trying to kill scouts with the syringe gun). And the other players were just as retarded as the server: I kept killing spies with the bonesaw when they were cloaked...

I'm 99.99999% certain all PS3 patches are optional for single player games. If not, you can just turn off the wifi/unplug the etherenet cable/disable internet connection from the PS3 menu.

New Metal Gear trailer is out and it's painfully 90's. 

Also, looks like it's basically going to be a hack n slash from here... The gameplay isn't exactly what I was hoping for.

Doesn't even look like MGS.
