Hey all - forgive the bit of pluggery but.....

Thought folks would appreciate, if not outright like, how I twisted & tortured that insufferable pop hit "Pumped up Kicks" with a bit of prog magic. Worked real hard on it and would welcome feedback!

Thx!

Original - yeah its nice but constant radio play manages to kill everything, and after seeing those guys w/their hipster poses on SNL, that did it for me...

And yes - my jewish guilt will only allow 1 promo post per ~10 community-oriented posts, so stay tuned :)

Speekie Engrish or whatever. WHAT THE HELL MAN?!?!?!?!?!?!
Wow, I thought proogers were good wholesome people.
You can be anti-immigration or kkk or whatever but DAMN what you conveyed in those lyrics, man.
I respect the political affiliations of everybody but I do not respect RACISM.

Wow YOU - with that R word throw around so cavalierly I think we're darn near proving Godwin's law for the 10,933,153th time, and I haven't even said 50 words... :)

What can I say? Some are more sensitive - and dare I say - knee-jerky than others. If I take the trouble to elaborate on the lyrics to prove that irony does exist alongside sincerity, things would just get silly. But know that not everyone freaks out so bad when they get my "message" - and they're not racists :)

Love the bad publicity - wish it would spill out into the public at large!

I wanted to look into Hober's interesting comment (he's had some interesting views in the past, from my experience), and I found the song "Little Hitlers".......... that's a little low, don't you think? I'm open minded on just about everything, but yikes, that's a little too edgy for just about anyone's tastes.

And lol, Godwin's law proves true yet again.

Cool cover nonetheless.

Well you see, I can see the future, so when I wrote the song I knew that in the far off year 2011 I'd have to defend myself against the R word and possibly the N word, so I figured I'd give up in advance and call myself Hitler. Cause the song is all about how I am an intolerant little hitler.

Glad you like the cover!

Look, I re-thought that pesky comment of mine, and it seemed a bit over the top. Apologies. Say what you want to say and you do make good music and a great cover of Pumped Up Kicks (I showed all of my prog/pop-mainstream loathing friends it, they appreciated it as well).

side note: Andyman1125, what interesting views of mine?

Let's keep to the cover, not his opinion on other matters.

Probably a bad choice of words, but I was referring to this post: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=74525&PID=4299162#4299162

Total respect though, no offense intended. Smile

Ahh yes. I have always regretted that post. God how stupid I was. I am now trying to keep my opinions to myself and refrain from posting comments like that. But now, excuse me, IQ's Dark Matter just came in the mailBig smile

The cover's OK.
Other than that, you ARE racist. Ask a few people that aren't your friends.

Keeping the subject close to the thread title is not PA's strong...
