If they would have come with Knights of the Nine, then they would have come with the GotY edition, as Knights of the Nine was part of the GotY edition. The only one I got without paying for was the castle (Fighter's Stronghold, I believe), because when it was first released it was offered for free for a limited time.

Yeah, I had that one because it was free. The others you had to pay for. I have my GotY box somewhere... |

Mine is about 5 feet away from me, soon to be in hand; and now I quote from the box itself:
No strongholds included. |

I did, until I had to reinstall the game for some reason and found out that they're not able to be re-downloaded...so I would have had to pay for them again, and said screw it. Now they're going through Steam, so hopefully the DLC will be better handled.

I didn't pay for mine and still have them somewhere, I think. Not that I really care much. Unless I suddenly end up with a new machine with lots of HDD space, I won't be re-installing Oblivion again.

I'll be keeping it installed probably indefinitely (on one computer or another). Also, a large group of modders has been working for a few years now to import all of the game content (quests, land mass, items, npcs, etc) from Morrowind into Oblivion as one mega-mod, and they're almost done, so I'll probably be re-installing Morrowind when that's done so I can finally play it with a better combat system/graphics.

I heard about that Mod too.
I remember many years ago people were trying to remake both Baldur's Gate games into the NWN2 Engine. Some of the stuff they got done looked great. Unfortunately nobody plays the game any more and so I don't know if they ever finished the project. |

I don't know, that would have been nice though...especially for the first Baldur's Gate, IMO.

Well they had got as far as making Candle Keep. It looked pretty good, even in the NWN2 engine. Let me see if I can find some images.
Yeah they look a bit dated now but the project is I believe, still going after 4 years or so! That was from 6 months ago. In fact, they're still planning on a release. Hopefully sometime next year. Mmm. Edited by James - November 09 2011 at 20:52 |

Nice. I don't have NWN2 anymore though, and I always borrowed the earlier games from my uncle.

I have them all still installed. I completed BG many many years ago (before my current Tutu install) and did start a new game last year. I need to get back into it. BGII is vast and I also need to finish that!
I'm quite a way into Icewind Dale and should really finish that first though. So many unfinished playthroughs! Edited by James - November 09 2011 at 21:13 |

I never finished Icewind Dale 1 or 2, though only because I always had some sort of crazy graphics issue with them (a large portion of the screen was always neon green). I also didn't finish NWN2, but that was more because it sort of failed to hold my interest the whole way through like the others did.

Yeah, I never finished NWN2 either. There's some awesome fan-made mods available for it though that makes it so much better.

I'll post this here as well (already posted in the Shred, but I feel like some non-Shredders may enjoy it)

I'm getting it for 360. If I had a graphics card it would be PC, but honestly that would essentially be making me pay $270 for Skyrim. 360 is easier and I'll have fun no matter what

Then get on playing it instead of posting here. |
