Gravity once more, I'm afraid - this one is just plain old 'Gravity' though - nothing added, or indeed taken away!

Progressive rock band influenced by Dream Theater, Genesis, Joe Satriani, Rush and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Straight out of Cleveland, Gravity is causing a stir with their energetic and engaging music. The band has opened for Dream Theater, Symphony X, Kamelot and Sonata Arctica, and they have won many competitions in Ohio, including the Live Nation 2007 High School Rock Off at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame where they were placed first out of over 200 bands. In 2009 and 2010, they performed at the Three Rivers Progressive Rock Festival (3RP) in Pittsburgh, sharing the stage with many progressive rock bands. In 2011 they were featured in a Toyota commercial aired in Northeast Ohio. Their first full-length CD, "Into Oblivion", was released in 2007, and they are currently performing in support of their 2010 release, "Midnight Sonata."

I first heard these guys on Michael Citro's weekly podcast "Epic Prog with The Lurker" on Progrock.com in July 2009, and immediately bought the debut album. Didn't realise they'd got a second one out, so have now ordered that too. The band members were really young when the first album was released, but their music shows considerable skill and maturity.

http://www.myspace.com/gravity33, where six songs can be streamed (a mixture from the two albums).

http://gravity33.com/ (where two different songs can be heard, as well as two that are shared with myspace).

There are quite a few live videos of the band on YouTube, but neither video or audio quality is particularly good, so I haven't embedded any here, but you'll find five of them on this reverbnation link: http://www.reverbnation.com/gravity33 (but strangely only two audio samples are provided, and they are the same two incuded on the other two sites). You can also visit http://www.youtube.com/user/GravityVid if youreally want to watch the videos.

Press contact (if you want to try asking for more samples of the bands music) is:

Gravity added for Prog Metal. You can add the albums if you would have time. Or I might later tonight.

Albums added.  Thumbs Up

Bio has a couple of spurious ? characters in the middle of 'Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame' which need fixing, & the actual wording of the bio that was included in my o.p. is virtually as it is written on the band's website and myspace pages, so it might be a good idea not to actually credit anyone from PA with writing it in the artist page on our site. Embarrassed
