I don't usually want deep lyrics. If the lyrics are 'deep' (whatever that means), then the artist will confuse the listener. Nobody listens to lyrics and music at the same time. That would be a kin to reading a great novel and trying to comprehend music at the same time.

I'm not sure if they really have to be for me to like them.

I don't know what my favourite PT guitar solo is. To be honest PTs solos haven't been exactly huge highlights in most of their songs. Dark Matter, Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape, and Burning Sky are definite exceptions for me though.

Voyage 34 Phase II and Lips of Ashes are great as well. Always thought LoA was a very underrated song.

Anyways, been addicted to this lately:

I'm ambivalent toward lyrics. I love a well-penned lyric, but at the same time I DO listen to Ween. They got a song that goes like this: "You f**ked up, you f**king nazi whore. You really f**ked up". Then they got a song that goes "You can wash my balls till they're soft like silk. I'm sick of yer mouth and yer 2% milk!"

Then they got a song that goes "She's gonna be my cock professor, studyin' my dick. She's gonna get her master's degree in f**king me." Then there's the song that goes: "Get off my ass ya wee bitty f**k. If I bull out the claymore, yer sh*t outta luck. Who is that girl, that wee pretty thing? After I f**k her she'll get up and sing!"

Gosh I love Ween.
