Topic: Favourite Album Cover Art Posted: October 09 2011 at 21:40 |
Simple enough, post some of your favourite album covers.
Here's some of my favourites:
Fields - Fields Egg - The Polite Force Tangerine Dream - Cyclone Cybotron - Cybotron Hawkwind - Warrior on the Edge of Time Akritas - Akritas Krokodil - An Invisible World Revealed Horus - Stelle di Battaglia Nosferatu - Nosferatu Sand - Golem Anything done by the great Roger Dean, such as Gentle Giant's Octopus And any of the early Klaus Schulze albums, such as Timewind, that have that surreal Expressionist style.

to me personally I like the modern prog bands art work like dream theater's dark clouds & silver linings and transatlantic covers i really think they have a unique style even though they are made by computers. then again are there any bad prog artworks in the majority of prog rock?

A really nice 3D CD artwork: The lid plastic has grooves and as you twist the case back and forth a little the fog like pattern moves. The OP mentioned... I like this better than Deans: It was cut to jar shape at the top.
