A Lot Like Birds: excellent crossover prog

A very quick scan sounds like Mars Volta with a stronger presence of punk/hard-core.
More listening would be required but I'd start there where we have TMV now. 
It isn't Crossover Prog for sure.

	Why hasn't this band been suggested to Post rock / math rock first? If anything, it's not Eclectic prog. From what I can tell, it's hardcore rock music with some experimental bits. Am I missing something?
