Hardly worth a poll - Yes - Simple!!
I mean Rush at their best are good, but Yes sublime when at their best! |

Rush easily, even if they've rarely been as dazzling as "Starship Trooper" or "Heart of The Sunrise", but then neither was Yes. |

1970s: Yes
1980s - present: Rush
If I had to pick one overall, it would probably be Rush because I like all of their music, but Yes have produced some very bad albums (Tormato, Close Your Eyes)

I disagree... I would say that Yes is far ahead from Rush in pretty much all senses, MAINLY in the lyrical aspect. Man, take a look at the entire CTTE, the entire Tales, Gates of Delirium, Awaken... many many songs with sophisticated lyrical expression, coming from Jon's mind (with some help from the other members)... besides, Jon's singing is superb, not just technically speaking, but emotionally ! (not counting the fact that, although he has an alto voice, he doesn't sound like a woman, as Lee does...)

Over their entire career, Rush have been incredibly consistent. Yes? Not so much *cough* The Ladder *cough* Fly From Here *cough*

Well, Rush's line-up has been extremely more consistent than Yes's. However, I've just gotten my 3rd album by Rush and I'm starting to feel the music is much too similar... I'd say perhaps that Rush's consistency isn't such a good thing. I'll still have to hear more of Rush, maybe (hopefully) I'll change my mind. Still, I doubt I'll get to like them as much as Yes. |

Siding with the minority and voting for Rush. I just prefer their overall sound over the Yes sound, and there are more Rush albums I really like than there are Yes albums I really like.
