I've noticed numerous times over the past few months that PMs sent via the Review Comment feature are not being received, and in some cases are being automatically mailed twice for no apparent reason.

I still don't get notified that I've recieved them, but that's another thread altogether.
AFAIK I haven't had this problem.

I got one a couple weeks ago, it seems to work for me.
Actually, last one I got was on September 2. I haven't sent one in a while, though, so I don't know about that side of it (although if I received one obviously it was sent....)

When I try to PM people regarding reviews it keeps saying internal error - and logs me out. But not really because I´m still on and can freely roam the forums  Doesn´t matter though, I sent a regular PM and it worked like a charm.

^ Yeah that's a solution but if the Comment function has a serious bug, it should be suspended or fixed-- otherwise people think their comments are being received (or read) and, as far as they know, ignored. This is an unsatisfactory breakdown in communication between members and deprives reviewers of the feedback and encouragement that may keep them writing reviews, the lifeblood of the site.

^I completely agree with you, I just didn´t want to be a pain the ass. I don´t know enough about computers or how they work - to fully understand how troublesome it is to "repair" such a bug. Come to think of it - the only reason why I was able to send that PM, was that I´d been corresponding with Chris(seventhsojourn) before this problem started. Might not have happened, if the PM system had been wacky back then too... To be able to send PMs directly through the written review is very important to me, because it´s such an easy way to do it, and you´re still "in the moment" fresh out of the review.

I wonder if this is the case....I have sent many, many PM's off reviews and I have never received a reply back from the person. Now maybe its just coincidence and I certainly am not looking for a reply back but I would think if someone gives you a positive comment on your review u would at least reply back "Thanks".

Don't mean email...I mean the pop up window that comes up when you come back to PA after getting a PM from someone. That works fine with normal PMs (again AFAIK).

Ken told me he just received a Review Comment yesterday that I sent to him a week ago > and now Andy reports he didn't know he'd gotten a comment from me until he went into his inbox for another reason

For the first time in quite a while I have had no problems whatsoever concerning review PMs  I know this is for reporting bugs, but I think it´s just as important to let you guys know when things start working as they should again.

I'm glad; unfortunately Warthur appears to have just today received a Review PM I sent him two weeks ago. Unless he was on vacay, there's still a problem

Internal error again today, when I tried to PM John(Mellotron Storm) upon his brilliant International Harvester review. I wrote him a mail, but man I thought we were through with this silly business. A bit irritating...
