There's someone leftover coconut/tillapia stew here.

Anything coconut related is always awesome.

I think I actually slightly prefer the 2009 version by Present.

What? You can't enjoy a movie and not really someone who's in it?
Didn't know I had to like every single actor/actress involved to enjoy the it!

Any thoughts on DJ Shadow, Portishead, Massive Attack, and Aphex Twin?

Aphex Twin is cool sometimes.

I've been listening to The Sword and Art Zoyd all day.

All are must dos / must haves.

So far I adore Portishead. My trip-hop/ambient techno knowledge is limited to four albums:

Dummy
Endtroducing (which I'm listening to at the moment)
Select Ambient Works 85-92
Blue Lines

Today I felt the need to correct my gratuitous lack of experience with this style.

If you like ambient techno, then you should check out Boards of Canada.

I don't listen to much TripHop but Dummy is an awesome album. I've never tried to get into Massive Attack before

My goal is to find brutally chilling albums haunt your soul and such. If it's a given of my tastes, my three favorite ambient/electronic/trip hop/whatever albums are Radiohead's Kid A, Portishead's Dummy, and, strangely enough, Vangelis' Blade Runner OST. I know very little of ambient in general, as well as trip-hop, experimental techno, and the like.
