A few of us were discussing the election, and the secession of the South, etc., so I thought this might be an interesting read.

There's a bit of nasty language (heh)...to the point that I can't even post the website's name! But it gave me a laugh, and made some valid points, so I thought I'd share it with y'all (lol).

EDIT: you may have to replace the missing letters. I suggest using "U" and "C"

It's strange but here in the UK, the South is the North and the North is South.

If you get what I mean

^ sorry. I hate making anyone do more work, but you may have to type in the missing letters. Since your browser will display the text of the link at the bottom of the screen, it has been understandably edited.

Good point! I'd never really thought of that before, but it does make sense- a large number of our Southerners are descended from your Northerners. To tie it into another recent thread, that's where bluegrass came from- Scotch/ Irish folk influence.

A great illustration of what is wrong with the elitist east. Trust me when I say the forefathers were more in the line of thinking with our southern brethren of today than the socialistic, decadent, degenerate easterners that plague and poison our great nation with their cancerous ideology.

WinkMaybe if you'd "help yourself" just before you log on here, you'd be calmer and less homocidal....
