Triumvirat are my favorite band, and their first three albums, Mediterranean Tales, Illusions On A Double Dimple, and Spartacus are considered by me to be the best prog on the planet.
Their last studio album from 1980, the only one i did not have called Russian Roulette has been long put down by fans as something that is not the band at all, and certainly not progressive. I heard it on lp about 15 years ago, and that was enough for me. Just recently, i listened to it again, fully realising what it would not sound like (no Spartacus here) and found to my surprise that i really quite liked it. Judging it as an album on its own merit, and not expecting the earlier group sound allowed me to finally appreciate it for what it is-a tasteful pop rock effort with some hard edges here and there-this is accessible, and not really progressive, but is not what i would call blatantly commercial. Heck, it is catchy, but in a tasteful way.
I would love to hear some more impressions, possibly from people like me who rejected it eons ago, and went back, and finally got something out of it it that they were not expecting.
And if you still don't like it, well, that  is your way.
