Ok, I have tried several times to post a picture of the poster for the horrible disco movie Thank God It's Friday, but the pics keep getting dropped on the floor.  Not sure what's going on, maybe I've been banned from posting pics for some unknown reason.  So just imagine that I posted it, k?

This one was touched by the hand of ape
the one on Clavius was touched by the hand of Floyd
the one in the renaissance Room was touched by the hand of old codger.

Not old codger!LOL

Bowman!

But I sense no pattern. Also the touching of the monoliths is irrelevant.

The touching of the monoliths is quite relevant. It depicts the curiosity of man and the inborn need to reach out to the unknown despite what dangers may lurk.

It isn't the touching that activates them in any way though......

^^ No, nothing activates them. They simply are there and man reaches to them out of curiosity.
One teached apes to use tools.
The one on Clavius is activated to send a signal to Jupiter as soon as it is about to be photographed.
The one over Jupiter allows access to another universe.
The one in the Renaissance room transpfrms Bowman to starchild.

how did we get onto this...LOL
