It took me just under 6 hours to finish the single-player and I'm working through co-op but I hear that that is only a few hours as well. Regardless, I still think that it was a good purchase (though I did pre-order and save money). Really it comes down to how much you enjoyed the first game and Valve games in general. It should also be noted that you if you are looking for a serious challenge, you won't find it in Portal 2. I personally found the puzzles substantially easier than the first game, which was already only moderately difficult. So if you beat the first one in less than two hours Colin, than you will probably blow through Portal 2 in less than 5 I'm guessing. |

I certainly did. Its why I'm playing DAO again, to see how the different decisions I make is going to effect DA2. And I've got to disagree with Gamemako, I think its great, though It'll be long time before I attempt it at Nightmare difficulty. |

We aren't PS3 gamers, and my son is a really dedicated XBOX Live gamer.I asked him if the network had ever been hacked and he got all serious and looked at me and said..."We PAY for our security".

Interestingly, I found a number of the puzzles in Portal 2 more time consuming, not because they were more challenging but simply because the design fo the game felt more open ended, so instead of thinking to myself, "Okay, exits there, portal-able walls are there, buttons are there", I was thinking ot myself "Oh well look at all that! Okay what am I supposed to be doing?" and examining the level more.

I got that for Christmas and got 5 hours into it before I got really busy for a few months. I'm afraid to play it again because I htink I forgot everythign I learned and everything that happened, but I really should start it up again before I forget more.

Excellent. I did get a little way into it and then I realised I forgot a Codex entry and couldn't go back and get it (not game breaking I know) so I started over. My character looks better this time too, plus my sister is erm... hotter. |

http://ingame.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/04/04/6408513-disgruntled-gamer-hacks-xbox-security-chiefs-account this is most like what happened to Sony. Hackers are just man-children. Microsoft isn't the best at security either. Just as bad as Sony really.

I mean cmon....as messed up as it was for Sony to not officially say it for 6 days: When first asked about bank accounts and they said "We're not gunna answer that" what did we expect the answer to be??
I am a neutral gamer, loved both my Xbox's and Play Stations...just get this clusterf**k taken care of Sony, make sure it cant happen again and have things fine for Uncharted 3 Edit: haha! When someone commented on my bro's FB about not getting an email from Sony his response was they probably can't even send an email right. My god, I thought fans would be pissed but sane! He used to love Sony, now the anti christ? Edited by JJLehto - April 28 2011 at 01:58 |

Hmm, well I agree that they were more open ended, and I enjoyed them more for largely that reason. I loved the feelign of examining a room like you said and trying to piece together how the lasers, light bridges, and gels would work together to solve the puzzle. So in that way they were more complex, but I thought that it was usually pretty easy to figure out the solution and also that none of the solutions were difficult to perform, whereas the first Portal had some moments that required significant mouse + keyboard co-ordination. I think all Portal 2 players can agree though that they did something really innovative with the second game and it felt like a deserving sequel both in terms of the story and the gameplay development. |
