Image you want introduce yourself with a sort of prog-rock card, that is a CD with your favourite songs, the ones that, for any reasons, you consider the most important, and the most representative of your personality. Please be just emotional in this compilation, and just add what you do feel. The only limits is the 80 minutes length of the support, and possibly (not extremely a restriction) the genre, that’s of course prog-rock.

This is my compilation:

1)      Shine on your crazy diamond – Pink Floyd            13.36

2)      Spirit of the Water – Camel                                          2.07

3)      Salty Dog – Procol Harum                                           4.36

4)      We used to know – Jethro Tull                                    4.03

5)      Turn of the century – Yes                                              7.43

6)      Capricorn – IQ                                                                 5.16

7)      Incubus – Marillion                                                         8.30

8)      Vision – Peter Hammill                                                  3.15

9)      The walk part II – Gazpacho                                          5.39

10)   The Lamia – Genesis                                                    6.56

11)   Refugees – Van Der Graaf Generator                        6.22

12)   Starless – King Crimson                                              12.14

Total:                                                                                         80.19

Ok I am over of 20 seconds, but I can still master the CD!Embarrassed

Now it’s your turn.Big smile

Ps: the order of the songs, your order, is very important too.

what we pretend to be."

Its a killer song imo. I heard somewhere in an interview that it originally was going to be an instrumental track, but after the 9/11 events,  lyrics were added. Which is fine by me because the lyrics are one of the reasons I chose this song... Childlike Faith in Childhoods End is such a grand piece of music, and the lyrics are so existential that I thought Peaceable Kingdom, while somewhat similar in its message, is a bit more straight foreword. Plus it's Rush doing what they do best, Hard Rockin!

Rush is maybe one of the few bands were i take a close look at the lyrics, because i know that the man behind them is Neil Peart. I find a lot of great existential songs in this band.
