Oasis are a decent Beatles-sounding tribute band.

I saw Maroon 5 open for the Rolling Stones a few years ago.  They weren't the worst I've ever heard.

I hated the New-Indie movement (The Kooks etc.)  a bit more than i hated Oasis but I just can't stand them as people or the way they write and perform their distinctly average music with such intentionally horrible vocals

But probably the worst big-name band you've ever heard... Nobodys counting pub bands... Tongue

I hate indie. The White Stripes, The Strokes, I really don't like most of it.

Cheap Trick may have been the worst that I've ever heard live.  I like their albums, but when I saw them live two summers ago they sounded horrible.  And sorry, but the one time that I saw Dream Theater live, they sounded pretty bad.  And again, I like Dream Theater and I like their DVDs that I've seen.  But when I saw them live the sound was pretty bad.

I'm generally not a fan of indie either, but some of the indie rock you can find on this site like dredg and Circa Survive are pretty good.

The problem with Maroon 5 is not really their live experience, but their songs...

There are bands that suck live. BTBAM, a PA-sanctioned band , was horrible live, but their albums are usually good.

indie with prog tendencies is usually more bearable than indie-pop-rock Dead

Depending on how much humidity, I'd probably be OK with that too.  The best would be 90° F and a good rolling thunderstorm. Tongue

I'm going to try and listen to Leaving Your Body Map again later. Part The Second was good enough to persuade me to try it again.

I also listened to the first 3 Tool albums today. mmm

I personally like Bath more than Leaving Your Body Map, but not by much.  Both are fantastic.
