^
you need some John Williams and Marcus Viana...
Me, listening to some nice 70's italian rock, this is not RPI just rock. "Motel" is an outstanding ballad :

So maybe some John Barry and one you cannot miss is Jerry Goldsmith, especially the OST for 'the Omen'. Also, don't forget Hans Zimmer, and if you are into TD related OSTs, you might check the OSTs for 'wavelength', and also 'the sorcerer' and 'legend'. The OST for 'Blade runner' is also a winner. Angelo Badalamenti is also recommended. And Poland has some great composers, Wojciech Kilar, Zbigniew Preisner and Krzysztof Komeda (rosemlary's baby).

^ all sounds good to me, Twin Peaks is definitely on my playlist for today Approve

I'm cueing up Blade Runner to play next - after that I'm torn between James Horner's soundtrack to A Beautiful Mind or going back to Kubrick for some Straus & Ligeti on 2001 - A Space Odyssey

Next (in a few minutes anyway):

Slight deviation form the "plan" - wanted to hear more Danny Elfman, but only have the soundtrack to the first Batman film - went onto singles instead, starting with this one by Elfman & The Banshees from Batman Returns:

Then this:
... Used in a short British film called Towers of Babel. D.A.T.A were a synth-pop band that was a pseudonym for 70s pop band Sailor (you know... Glass of Champagne and Girls, Girls Girls) ... anyway, this is neo classical electonica with operatic/coral vocals - great stuff indeed, it sounds like this:

Then some Prog related tracks, starting with this absolute gem:
... a superb theme from a Channel Four mini-series made in 1984 featuring Stratford Johns and a very young John Hannah - music by Darly Runswick (who was on the first Alan Parsons Project album) and Bill Nelson, featuring singers from coral group Electric Pheonix, it sounds exactly like this:

Then the theme from Gansters by Dave Greenslade & Chris Farlowe followed by the theme from Hazel by Maggie Bell and Andy Mackay. (both can be found on YouTube, I'll not waste space posting them here).

Anyway, back to proper soundtrack albums albums, this one next of course:
