Not particularly funny but on ELP's 'KE9 3rd impression' I always heard ''Guardians of a new clear dawn'' as ''Guardians of a nuclear zone''.

Isn't it "Guardians of a Nuclear dawn" ? |
in the third impression i always misheard "No man yields who flies in my ship" as
"NO MAN YIELDS HIS FLIES IN MY SHED" |
I always heard it as "No man yields to flies in my ship," which seemed pretty ridiculous. Didn't seem much of a brag. I mean how surly are such sailors who might even give in to bluebottles?

Do you wanna be an angle? Do you wanna be a star? Do you wanna watch some porn on my VCR.
This was actualy: Do you wanna be angle? Do you wanna be star? Do you wanna play some magic on my guitar? By ELP
How I misheard these extremely simple lyrics is beyond me but it has made for some great laughs

Waaaay back when I first started learning English, I was über sure that the lyrics in Do It! on Soft Parade by The Door were: Please please listen to me tuna! Instead of Please please listen to me CHILDREN ![LOL LOL](smileys/smiley36.gif) -And in listening to this weird shaman of the west, - you wouldn´t necessarily weed out the possibility that the guy actually was addressing the buggers beneath the waves. -I still hear it though....

Funny, and please take no offense to this, but "Grunge" is the last word I think of when I hear the name Pearl Jam.

Thick As A Brick: So! Where the hell was Biggles when you needed him last Saturday? And where were all the sportsmen who always pulled you though?
I thought it was: So! Where the hell was giggles when you needed him last saturday?
And all you morning glory seekers will use his name in doubt. ![LOL LOL](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif)

My friend still refused to acknowledge that the Claypool song is HENDERSHOT. He constantly says it's Hearhshot and will find versions and keep playing it back to me saying things like "see right there they're definitely saying hear shot", but I listen and it definitely says Hendershot. I make the syllable argument but it's to no use......No Steve, I think I'M right, you know since the song is called what I think they say.

Like some others here, I misheard Games Without Frontiers very closely to what you all had, but I heard "She's So Popular" which makes more sense than Fun-clear or whatever. Stupid introduction of French.
As for the Beatles which someone mentions on the first page, like Bob Dylan I also hear "I get high" instead of "I can't hide" in I want to hold your hand. Dylan was supposedly therefore shocked when he found the Beatles weren't already using "the stuff", so he helped them out. True story.

I always heard the lyric in Close To the Edge as:
And rearrange your liver to the solid mental grace
Which I must have mis-heard, surely.

VDGG - sleepwalkers:
The columns of the night advance,
infectiously, their cryptic dance
gathers converts to the fold - in time the whole raw world will pace"
The colours of the night advance, Infectiously, their cryptic Dam. Carries toilets to the foul In time the Horror World will pace etc...
I used to sing it like that when i first listened ahaahah, even though it didnt make any sense.

One of the funniest I've heard is from Creedence Clearwater Revival:
Don't go out tonight
It's bound to take your life
There's a baboon on your eyes.
But the best was when my brother was little and would walk around the house singing that great Deep Purple hit
"Slow Cousin Walter". I still tease him about it decades later.
