Hey Alex, what was the Australian post-rock band with a Bandcamp who you were telling me about the other day? I feel like listening/reviewing sometime, and I've completely forgotten the name.

Also, I've been to all 8 shows this band has played. http://www.myspace.com/prospectsaus

Something Steven Wilson. Early material, perhaps?

I have very, very little of his stuff, and nothing early.

All Phideaux is on Bandcamp.

All his work is now streamable on bandcamp, kudos to him for that.

I'm preparing a ** review of my own, then. Tongue

The ratings it got so far remind me of my thread about reviewers' consensus. I bet this won't make it, despite the strong start.

95% of the ratings so far don't have reviews.  A few bad reviews would kill it like a cockroach.

I already told him my thoughts, but as is my custom, I reserve judgment.  The first track is superb, the second is nice, but the third I didn't much like.  So were I to rate it now?  Three stars.

However, I have the f**king respect and honesty to wait a while rather than rate something during an orgasm.

I read your recent exchange with him, that was the ideal way I imagine those kind of things. At the opposite is GuyM vs. the rest of the world LOL

I'm more fond of Doomsday Afternoon and Chupacabras myself.  Perhaps even Number Seven.
