Manchester was responsible for Oasis.  The worst band ever in the world ever, like innit.  'nuff said really!

Interesting. They've been having a hard time integrating despite their being some of the most sociable people I know. Apparently the English (in Manchester :P) are not exactly open.
Property of Queen Productions...

I'd say try London.  It's far more multicultural and has a much more awesome scene.

Liverpool is a friendlier place, if you avoid some areas. Haven't been to Manchester though so i can't really speak for that

Oasis loves themselves so much.
For all the other modern stuff to compare them to, they don't sound sooo bad..
Not good buy any means, but heck, better than Green Day and other contemporaries.

I've seen 10CC live.  Ironically, at The Oasis Leisure Centre, which is apparently where that sh*tty band got their name. LOL

I don't mind Joy Division at all.  Good band.  However, New Order were horrid.
