Most Metal production annoys me especially nu metal and the new thrash bands like Lamb of God (no idea what sub genre there classed as nowadays)

Lamb of god
Thrash metal

lol.

they're "groove" which is just slowed down thrash, essentially

Not really.

Cowboys from Hell is slowed down thrash. Lamb of God os basically alternative groove, sema as Sepultura's Roots.

I need to know what sub genre core they are so i don't get the sh*t kicked out of me should i decide to see them

They are new wave of american heavy metal. they belong in the same category as Slipknot, A7X and other crap. Their exact genre is a mixture of melodic metalcore and groove metal.
I've always known people to call Slipknot NuMetal but things seemed slightly simpler when i was a metal fanboy. Thrash Death or Nu. no f**kin' cores

Is the Russell Brand Arthur movie supposed to be based on the old Dudley Moore movie?
