It's a cute accent.

But I can see how it would be common in your neck of the woods.

'tisn't that common really.  There's a distinct Swindon accent and I don't have it.  So most people speak differently to myself.

However, I try and make a concerted effort to sound different.  I don't want to have an accent that is recognisably of a certain place.  Sure, I sound British but that's fine by me, I am British.  I don't want to be a Cockney though.

There was some article on BBC that North-American don't understand the Northern dialects/accents, maybe you could try something like that?

I don't want to be Northern either.  I'm a proud Southerner.

Ah, finally a band I've heard of!

Stop listening to Oxo, Ono, Obo, Olo, Ofo, Ogo and Odo.

Whatever the hell that would be.
I'm just glad I don't have a stereotypical NJ one.
Huzzah for bland American!

"Wood-Er"
"Iggles"
"Begal"
"Cholie"
"Yous"
etc.

I'm told I have a really pronounced accent. I cab barely get a glass of water when I travel.

Haha
I've heard some of those but always around here?
Guess Philly really is NJ? Wink
And I'm glad I say water and "wah-der"
Silly Jersians

Please don't compare our states.

Personally I think that we can be above those things, to a certain degree. At least some of us.

I didn't Pat. I just said your city might as well belong in my state.
Come at me bro.

If Pat does not hear Ben talk, does Ben exist?
